A HUGE amount of ammunition was recovered by police at a flat in Manaba last Friday morning.
The find came after Margate SAPS received information while patrolling in the area. The officers were flagged down and taken to the flat.
“On their arrival, cleaners pointed out the stashed ammunition,” said police spokesman, Captain Gerald Mfeka. Sergeant Aubrey Ngwekazi and Constable Happiness Dlamini found 415 different types of ammunition hidden in the flat.
No arrests have yet been made and Margate police are continuing with their investigation.
