A STOLEN firearm, television, decoder, keyboard and a speaker were recovered in Murchison last Friday.
Police received information about the stolen property and Warrant Officer Patrick Gosling from Port Shepstone police followed up.
“Officers from Public Order Policing (POP), Crime Prevention as well as K9 unit officers went to the house in Murchison,” said police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid.
There, two men were found in possession of the suspected stolen property. Further investigation led them to a second home in the area where a CZ 9mm pistol, a magazine and six rounds of ammunition were recovered. The firearm had been stolen earlier this month in Bhobhoyi.
The two suspects will face charges of possession of stolen property, possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, and robbery. They are due to appear in court soon.
