TWO women were raped in two separate incidents in the Margate policing area recently.
A 24-year-old woman was raped in Panorama Parade in the early hours of last Sunday after an argument apparently broke out between the woman and a man over a cellphone.
The man grabbed the woman, dragged her into a corner at knifepoint, and raped her.
Last Saturday, a 33-year-old woman was raped while visiting a tavern at Nositha location . “When she went outside, she was approached by three men,” said police spokesman, Captain Gerald Mfeka.
“She was forced into a nearby house, where she was raped repeatedly by all three.”
The following morning the woman managed to escape when the men went outside to smoke. Margate police have arrested one of the men and are searching for the remaining two.
