Men arrested with drugs in Margate

Heroin capsules and Mandrax pills were among the drugs seized.

THREE men were arrested by the Port Shepstone drug task team in a special operation at Margate taxi rank recently.

The operation, under the command of Detective Warrant Officer Herman Pienaar, resulted in a 44-year-old man being arrested for having 58 heroin capsules and five Mandrax pills with a value totalling R2 430, in his possession.

The second man (36)  was caught with three Mandrax pills valued at R240 as well R1 556 in cash.

A third man (33) was arrested for having a ‘slope’ of dagga to the value of R20.

Police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid said they will all be charged with dealing in drugs and will appear in court soon.
