ATM robbed in Harding

Thieves used a grinder to open the machine and steal the money.

TWO ATM machines were broken into by thieves in Harding last week.

Police in the the town were alerted to  the robbery at about 11pm last Wednesday.

“Police found that the Standard Bank ATM had been damaged. It appeared as if the thieves had used a grinder to open the machine and remove the cash,” said police spokesman, Captain Gerald Mfeka.

“The thieves also tried to break into the Nedbank ATM but failed,” he added,

No arrests have yet been made.
