THE Scottburgh Regional Court sentenced a father (36) to life imprisonment for raping his daughter (7).
The court heard that the incident came to light when the child’s aunt noticed the child was sitting awkwardly at the supper table.
The aunt questioned the child and the child said nothing was wrong. She then checked the child’s private parts and found that she was sore and hurt.
The little girl eventually told her aunt that she had been raped by her father. She did not live with her father, but said he raped her almost every time that she stayed over at his house.
