Prisoner found hanged in cell
The awaiting-trial prisoner appeared in the Harding Court on Monday this week.
A MAN was found hanged in the Harding police cells on Tuesday this week.
Police spokesman Captain Gerald Mfeka discovered the man at about 5am.
“Philani Sikhosana (36), who was alone in the cell, had been arrested for being in possession of, and pointing, an unlicensed firearm,” said Capt Mfeka.
Sikhosana appeared in the Harding Court on Monday when the case had been postponed to March 22.
