A MAN arrested by police for being in possession of drugs was, ironically, watching a movie about drug lords when police swooped on his Bhobhoyi home yesterday.
Officers found 130 Mandrax tablets and 208 straws of heroin hidden beneath a cement block under 27-year-old’s bed.
Police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid said Warrant Officer Sydney Seaton and Constable Wallace Daniels from the Port Shepstone Crime Prevention unit went to the house on a crime intelligence operation.
“When they searched his room, in addition to the drugs, the officers found bank notes to the value of R1 780. These were also confiscated.”
The street value of the drugs is believed to be around R11 830.
