NSRI rescues three people off Shelly Beach

No injuries were reported.

THREE people were rescued by National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) Shelly Beach from a craft suffering motor failure last Sunday.

Craig Lambinon, spokesman for NSRI, said the Spirit of Dawn was launched to assist the rigid-inflatable craft, Danets.

A private fishing boat, Reel Crazy, also assisted and brought a man and a woman safely to shore.

“NSRI towed the  boat to shore with the skipper still on board,” added Mr Lambinon.

Once safely ashore no further assistance was required.
