PHOTOS: Scottburgh anti-racism march was peaceful

The protest was very well policed and no incidents were reported.

“DOWN with racism” was just one of the many chants which reverberated in Scott Street earlier this afternoon.

The “Enough is enough” anti-racism march garnered the support of hundreds of protestors who gathered and made their way to the Scottburgh High Court.

As a precaution,  many shop owners decided  to close up for the day, but the march proceeded without incident.

The protest follows in the wake of former Jawitz Properties Scottburgh estate agent, Penny Sparrow’s racial rant on Facebook

Jawitz Properties Scottburgh Principal, Avanti Low,  is now calling for Sparrow to make a public apology, saying that “she must own up now, I want this to end”.

The protest was very well policed and remained peaceful throughout.
