A MAN (36) killed himself last Sunday, after murdering his eight-year-old son at Nyuswa, near Izingolweni.
This is according to police spokesman, Captain Gerald Mfeka.
The man, who has been identified as Mgugile Mandala Mbanjwa, apparently had a quarrel with his girlfriend at their home.
“After the argument, Mbanjwa attacked his stepchild who managed to escape,” said Capt Mfeka.
He then turned on his son, Nkululeko Mkhize, and assaulted him with a bushknife.
“When Mbanjwa had realised that he had murdered his son he hanged himself,” said Captain Mfeka.
Izingolweni police have opened an inquest docket.
