YESTERDAY’S horrific collision between two sedans just before 4pm on the N2 freeway near Mfazazana, Hibberdene claimed the life of a woman and left seven others seriously injured.
Police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid said it is believed the vehicle which was travelling in a northerly direction jumped the centre median and and landed in the southbound lane, colliding head-on with the second vehicle.
“There were three people in the one vehicle, and five in the other,” she added.
Lt-Col Wiid said a culpable homicide docket is being investigated by Warrant Officer Avin Mahadawu of Hibberdene.
