Woman forced off road and robbed

The men robbed the woman of her jewellery and then sped off.

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a woman was forced off the road and robbed in Umtentweni last Saturday.

The woman (40) was driving along the R102 at about 10.30pm when two cars forced her to stop. “The men then robbed her of her jewellery and drove off,” said police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid.

“Anyone who suspects that they are being targeted for a robbery or that they are going to be hijacked should drive to the nearest police station or a public place and attract the attention of others by blowing the hooter,” she said.
