The woman refused to let go of her handbag.

MARGATE police are searching for five men who robbed a 51-year-old woman in Bhokodisa near Trafalgar on Monday this week.

Police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid said the woman was walking near the Trafalgar turn off at about 6.30pm when she was approached by a group of  men who threatened her with a knife.

“They grabbed her and when she refused to let go of her bag, one of the men bit her on the hand,” said Lt-Col Wiid.

The men fled with her cash and a bag containing clothes.
