Dogs always draw a large amount of interest with cheering spectators filling grandstands to capacity.

THE KwaZulu-Natal Dog Champs were held at the Royal Show in Pietermaritzburg on June 5 and 6 with the Friday featuring dog jumping and the contact and non-contact events on the Saturday.

Only residents of KwaZulu-Natal are allowed to take part in this event and all dogs run the same course, but in respective height categories, which makes for some interesting results.

Gail Taylor and Fizz, Ninette Smith and Swish and Michelle Howard and Sebastian and Po are all among the new and up and coming group who won or placed.
