Fatal farm shoot-out leaves two dead

The trespasser fired several shots at the security boss, killing him.

THE owner of a security company was shot and killed by a trespasser on a farm in Harding at around noon yesterday (Friday).

According to reports, the security boss had received a call from Sutton Farm, reporting a ‘suspicious man’ on the property.

Apparently the farmer and the security boss approached the man and asked him if he was in possession of a firearm.

The man responded by drawing a weapon and shooting the security boss.  The farmer took cover.

It is believed the intruder fired several more shots at the security boss, giving the farmer time to fetch his firearm from the vehicle and shoot the trespasser dead.

The owner of the security company also died at the scene.

A police report is awaited.
