A MAN who was enjoying holiday time with his family on Pumula beach was stabbed in the face this afternoon.

All security units, police and paramedics responded within minutes, as did crime watch groups from Hibberdene to Umtentweni.

The man has had to receive further medical treatment.

The Port Shepstone K9 unit together with the Southport police station commander, Captain Petros Nkomo are heading up the search for the two suspects, who are still at large.

It is believed the suspects are aged between 17 and 20 years. One of the men is wearing black tracksuit pants with a white stripe and black top, while the other is wearing a reddish T-shirt.

They are thought to have fled towards the Melville/Sunwich Port area.

The men apparently stole three bags – pink, beige and orange – which contained a camera with lens,a video camera, car keys and a cellphone.

Anyone who spots these men is asked to call 10111 immediately.

A full police statement is awaited.
