Taxi operators at war again

The trouble over the taxi routes has flared up again.

POLICE and Law Enforcement officers are currently monitoring a simmering taxi situation on the South Coast.

There is a dispute between two taxi associations regarding the routes between Port Shepstone and Durban, and Margate and Durban.

Reports indicate that many taxis are moving slowly from Margate through Shelly Beach, stopping traffic from flowing.

It seems that the taxi operators are going to gather at the Port Shepstone Civic Centre for a meeting.

So far, there has been no violence and police say they have  the situation under control.
