Toddler drowns in swimming pool
The child was certified dead on arrival at the hospital.
AN 18- month-old child drowned in a backyard swimming pool in Uvongo last Friday.
Police spokesman Captain Gerald Mfeka said according to the child’s father, the boy was playing with other children outside.
“When the children noticed the toddler was missing they started searching for him and found him in the pool,” said Capt Mfeka.
The toddler was immediately taken to hospital but was certified dead on arrival. Margate police have opened an inquest docket.
