Toddler critical after near-drowning
The child's family pulled her from the pool and started performing CPR.
A YOUNG child is in a critical condition after a near drowning incident in Uvongo yesterday afternoon.
Chris Botha, spokesman for Netcare 911, said a report from the scene indicated that the family, on holiday from Bloemfontein, found the 20-month-old girl in the pool. After pulling her from the water they started CPR.
When Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene they found the child had started breathing again.
After the toddler was stabilised, she was taken to a local hospital. infant she was transported to a local hospital.
