A TEENAGE boy (19) was arrested for raping a 13-year-old girl in the public toilets at Kidds Beach, Port Edward beach last Monday.
According to police reports the girl, from Leisure Bay, received a BBM message from the boy saying that she should go to the beach.
“She decided to go alone, as she apparently knew the boy who attends the same school,” said police spokesman, Captain Gerald Mfeka.
“According to the girl, the boy wanted to discuss something with her in private. When she arrived at the beach she sent him a message asking where he was. He replied, saying that she should go to the lifeguard building. When she met him there, he told her to go into the toilets.”
The boy then entered the toilet building via another entrance and locked the door.
“The boy then undressed himself and undressed her. The girl said she told him to stop what he was doing. She was then pushed to the floor and raped,” said Capt Mfeka.
The Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS) is investigating.
