AFTER a period of calm, the hotspot on the N2 near Hibberdene has flared up again. According to a motorist who has just negotiated that stretch of road, some vehicles have been stoned.
At this stage, it is uncertain if this is linked to the protests earlier this month.
Both north and south bound lanes are affected. Motorists are advised avoid the area if possible as we have been unable to establish if the road is open to traffic. Unconfirmed reports say the southbound lane is closed.
Police are at the scene and we will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
