THERE was a festive atmosphere at the Port Shepstone Country Club where the Shelly Beach Rotary Club held its annual induction dinner last Saturday.
Outgoing president Callie van Loggerenberg presented the chain of office to his successor, Hugh Strickland.
Rotarians were also recognised for their contributions. Neven Jestin received the ‘wooden spoon’ while Hugh Strickland was named the Rotarian of the year.
Vanessa Howard-Tripp was presented with a Paul Harris award-1 Sapphire, for her service to the club.
The Rotarians also reflected on the many milestones achieved during the past year.
Once the formalities were out of the way, members and their guests enjoyed dinner and good music.
