‘Flick Chix’ rule at hockey tourney

Players and parents enjoyed the good vibe created by the generous sponsors.

PORT Shepstone Hockey Club hosted a successful senior primary tournament at Creston College last Thursday.

Three schools were involved, namely Creston College, Southcity Christian College and Izotsha Primary, and a total of 21 teams.

Flick Chix from Izotsha Primary won the U13 section, while the champions in the U11s were Izotsha Primary’s Surf Queens.

In the boys’ division, Izotsha Primary’s Hot Shots, captained by Ross Klusener, won the U13 section, while Creston College’s Zundabergs, captained by Stryda Perry, won the U11 section.

The hockey club committee is planning a business hockey tournament to be played later in the year.

The club practises every Tuesday and Thursday at Creston College from 5.30pm to 7pm.
