A NIGHTMARE experience unfolded at a home in Ezingolweni last Saturday, after a mother (27) and daughter (8) were raped.
The woman, from Nkulu Ward is said to have gone to a nearby tavern, leaving her daughter alone at home.
“According to the mother, she returned at about 10pm and went to bed,” said Margate police spokesman Captain Gerald Mfeka.
“The next morning, when she woke up, she noticed a man she knew in the house. When she asked him why he was there, he left. As soon as he was gone, the daughter told her mother that while she was sleeping, the man raped her.”
He added that the mother also claimed to have been raped. No arrests have been made.
