Traffickers still in custody

Their 'employer' allegedly told them that they had to perform sexual activities at a house in Seaward Lane, Oslo Beach.

THE case against human trafficking accused Veeran Palan (32) and Edwina Norris (26) of Port Shepstone has been postponed to tomorrow, Monday, January 27.

The two were arrested on trafficking and prostitution-related charges last year. They appeared in the Port Shepstone Magistrate’s Court on Monday and remain in custody.

They were arrested in Oslo Beach after two women, aged 26 and 27 years, reported to police that they had been lured to the South Coast from Cape Town with promises of employment.

However, when they arrived, their ’employer’ allegedly told them that they had to perform sexual activities at a house in Seaward Lane, Oslo Beach.
