Sheppie High’s Peter McKillen to retire

The positions are temporary until a principal and deputy principal are appointed.

PETER McKillen, principal of Port Shepstone High will be retiring and as a result, the school has appointed Dale Salotto as acting principal and both Pete Theunissen and Kathi Barkhuizen as acting deputy principals. These positions will be in place until due processes have been followed to appoint a principal and deputy principal.

Elsie McKillen and Alan Theron will also be going into retirement at the end of this year and the many years of reliable, professional and dedicated service they have given to the school over the years is highly appreciated.

Congratulations to grade 11 pupil, Phila Dyasi, who was placed second in the first national ‘Front page father essay’ contest. Phila and his mom were flown to attend the prize-giving ceremony in Pretoria last weekend. The competition theme was ‘What my father means to me’ and is a media campaign aimed at creating awareness of the value of involved fathers, as well as to empower men to become more involved in the lives of their children and families.
