Track Torque: Win number eight at Hungarian Grand Prix for Hamilton

The season, in terms of races is catching up with itself, quickly.

Lewis Hamilton joined Mercedes seven years ago and has won seven out of his eight races for the three-pointed star at Budapest.

He was uncatchable again this weekend but Max Verstappen did very well to come home second and prevent another Merc one-two finish.

Valtteri Bottas, in third was very close at the finish to Verstappen, but the Dutchman kept his cool to keep the flying Finn out.

The two Racing Point Mercedes cars were again very quick, with Lance Stroll this time home in fourth, while his team mate Sergio Perez was less lucky, only coming in seventh.

Alexander Albon, in the second Red Bull, was followed home by Sebastian Vettel in the first of the two Ferraris, in fifth and sixth places respectively, while teammate Charles Leclerc came 11th, and out of the points.

At least the two Prancing Horses finished after knocking each other out last weekend. The Italian team desperately needs more of those Black Italian horses in its engine department.

Daniel Ricciardo was the only Renault in the points in eighth, but Carlos Sainz supported the French manufacturer, finishing ninth in his McLaren Renault.

Kevin Magnussen, in his Haas Ferrari, also did a great job to earn a point after trying all sorts of tyre options during the race, which in the end worked for him.

We now head to Silverstone for the double-header British Grand Prix on August 2 and the Emirates Grand Prix on August 9, both at the high speed British track.
