City Run gold for Strider Andrew in Durban

He beat most of his fellow club runners and showed that he's still in great form.

A NUMBER of South Coast Striders took part in several events across the province this past weekend.

Andrew Spence won the 70+ age category at the FNB Durban 10km City Run in a time of 46:07.

He beat most of his fellow club runners and showed that he’s still in great form.

Other Striders who ran were Bongani Mbhele (40:37), Mark Smith (49:23), Lou Schoeman (49:41), Emmanuel Mufamadi (51:40), Jackie Koekemoer (54:57) and Hennie Kanfer (01:06:13).

Bongani, Lou, Jackie and Mark all ran their personal bests for the 10km run.

Meanwhile, David Morrison-Young and Lindelani Itabor took part in the 20km Blythdale trail run.

Linda McKeone took part in the Glen Cairn two day trail run in Himeville.

This is a 21km on the first day and an 18km on the second day.
