Johnathan Rorke does Scottburgh proud at SA Champs again

For the second year in a row, Rorke placed first in the Open Male Beach Sprint final, besting the legendary and two-time sprint world champion, Ryle de Morny.

AS if it were meant to be, Scottburgh has been made proud once again following a stunning victory by local lifesaver Johnathan Rorke at the General Tire Lifesaving South African National Championships held at King’s Beach, Port Elizabeth earlier in April.

Dedication and countless hours of preparation are what Rorke clearly owes his success to.

For a second year in a row, Rorke placed first in the Open Male Beach Sprint final, besting the legendary and two-time sprint world champion, Ryle de Morny.

Falsy Bay local, de Morny had been the sprint champ for the past 10 years, until Rorke claimed the title for himself in 2017 and now, again, reaffirming his position as the king of the beach.
