Track Torque: Ferrari look to fight back

It looks set to be a clash of the titans, for sure.

IT’S round 15 of 20 and the gloves are off for the Malaysian Grand Prix this weekend.

Sebastian Vettel is raring to go in his blood-red Ferrari as he seeks revenge on Mercedes for the title fight.

Kimi Raikkonen will be there to back him all the way and take the action to the Silver Arrows’ camp.

No doubt Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas are more than able to hold their own on what is quite a quick track with two really good high speed straights, which is very suited to the powerful Merc engines.

I believe that we are in for a real battle of the giants with the Red Bull Renaults also now able to mix it with the big boys of the game.

Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo are complementing each other extremely well and as Ricciardo has quoted, Max brings out the best in him.

Other news is that Daniil Kvyat has lost his seat at Toro Rosso and GP2 champion Pierre Gasly is taking his place. Paul Di Resta is moving heaven and earth to get a seat at Williams.

The musical chairs always starts from Monza time onwards and doesn’t cease till all the ‘I’s are dotted and ‘T’s are crossed by the end of the year.

Back to the race on Sunday, the weather may well play an important part as it did last year, when it was won by Daniel Ricciardo in his Red Bull. Nico Rosberg had been on pole position in his Merc.

Vettel posted the fastest lap in his Ferrari.

He now has a mountain to climb as he is 28 points behind Hamilton in the title chase.

I hope for a clean race for a change after too many people being knocked out by over-ambitious moves in recent races.

Qualifying is on Saturday at 7am and 9am and the race starts on Sunday at 9am.

It should be another great race of the Titans.
