The woman was awoken by the intruder hitting her in the face.

A PENSIONER (72) was attacked in her home in Sea Park during the early hours of  yesterday morning.

Police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid, said the woman was assaulted in her home in Palm Road at about 2.30am.

Lt-Col Wiid said that the woman was awoken by the intruder striking her in the face. He gained entry to the  home by breaking a lock.

“He demanded money and then left with a flat screen TV, money, a wallet and wedding rings,” she said.
