Gospel Moments for singer Tender

Tender is a former South African Idols finalist and a committed Christian who was born in Port Shepstone.

TENDER Mavundla has signed a licensing and distribution agreement with Johannesburg based music company Brettian Productions. Her first gospel CD, titled Gospel Moments, will be distributed throughout South Africa from the beginning of September.

“We have chosen to partner with Brettian Productions on this project based on the fact that they are amongst the best Christian music distributors in the country,” said Collen Dhlamini, Tender’s business affairs and legal manager.

“The company shares the same vision as us and has a desire to bring people closer to God.”

Tender is a former South African Idols finalist and a committed Christian who was born in Port Shepstone. During her high school years, she was actively involved in stage plays and at one point, was part of a gospel choir.

She has backed various artists including Brenda Fassie, Ray Phiri and Stimela. When Mnet’s South African Idols arrived to audition singers in Margate in 2007, she jumped at the chance to enter and made it into the top four.

Her gospel CD was recorded at Esayidi FET College in Port Shepstone and produced by the renowned Skhulu Miya.

The first single off the album, ‘Wonderful God’, is already playlisted on national radio around the country. The album will be available at all music stores from the first week of September.
