NETCARE 911 paramedics yesterday afternoon raced to Craigieburn after receiving a report that someone had been bitten by a black mamba.
“When they arrived however, they were pleasantly surprised to find that the man had been bitten by a red lipped herald and not a black mamba,” said Netcare 911 spokesman, Chris Botha.
Paramedics treated the patient at the scene before he was transported to a local hospital for the care that he required.
