Green light for Maskandi fest
The event will feature Maskandi artists such as Khuzani, Gatsheni, Phuzekhemisi, Bahubhe, Ichwane Lebhaca, Ithwasa Lekansela, Mbuzeni, Igcokama Elisha, and many more.
The Ugu district’s biggest Maskandi event is finally here.
The Ugu Maskandi Festival will take place at the Ugu Sports and Leisure Centre on Saturday, September 28.
It will feature renowned artists such as Khuzani, Gatsheni, Phuzekhemisi, Bahubhe, Ichwane Lebhaca, Ithwasa Lekansela, Mbuzeni, Igcokama Elisha, and many more.
Organised by Ugu Broadcasting Services (UBS), activations were recently held at the Esayidi TVET College Gamalakhe and Mzimkhulu campuses.
Sihle Cele of UBS said these activations were held to lure students to the event.
“By persuading students to pull through to the event, they will go back home and to their communities to talk about it. People know that the festival is always fun. They get to meet many people while having fun with friends and relatives,” said Cele.
He added that they are ready to host the event this Saturday from 14:00.
