Product owners engage with national buyers

The four-day programme saw national buyers immersed in the beauty and diversity of the South Coast, with visits to key attractions that highlight the region’s unique blend of nature, culture and adventure.

Local tourism and hospitality businesses showcased their offerings at the South African Tourism (SAT) Speed Marketing Session held at Pumula Beach Hotel recently.

According to the organisers, the platform created valuable networking opportunities, fostering growth for the region and individual businesses.

They added that the four-day programme saw national buyers immersed in the beauty and diversity of the South Coast, with visits to key attractions that highlight the region’s unique blend of nature, culture and adventure.

South Coast Tourism and Investment Enterprise’s (SCTIE) finance manager, Deborah Ludick, said the experiential approach allowed buyers to gain first-hand insight into what makes the South Coast an ideal destination for tourists, encouraging long-term partnerships that would drive future tourism.

Ludick said the event offered a dual benefit, boosting the visibility of the South Coast as a vibrant destination while equipping local businesses with the chance to market their products to influential buyers in the tourism industry.

She added that product owners were able to present their unique offerings, from accommodation and adventure activities to cultural experiences, helping to secure deals that will enhance their growth and visibility on a national level.

“The Speed Marketing Session is a powerful tool for unlocking opportunities in the tourism sector. By connecting local businesses with national buyers, we are promoting the region’s rich tourism potential, empowering our product owners to expand their reach and secure new business opportunities. With its wealth of attractions, natural beauty and entrepreneurial spirit, the South Coast is set to thrive as a leading destination in the tourism landscape,” she said.
