Market Day, maths comp and more at Izotsha

Abigail Rush placed third in the district in her grade category.

The Grade 7 market day was a highlight at Izotsha Primary as the build-up required much thought, brainstorming, teamwork and planning for the budding entrepreneurs.

Many services and products were available on the day.

The following learners participated in the final round of the district inter-schools Maths challenge: Grace Bahlmann (Gr 3), Sisanda Qwabe (Gr 3), Waldo Theron (Gr 3), Abigail Rush (Gr 4), Aditja Jagersar (Gr 4), Skyla Nadauld (Gr 5), Hlelolenkosi Qwabe (Gr 5), Tristan Eva (Gr 6), Daniel Rush (Gr 6), Zyev Mahadev (Gr 7) and Isabelle Burton (Gr 7).

The Grades 1, 2 and 3 boys’ hockey and girls’ netball teams participated in a sports festival at Creston College last Saturday. Despite the challenges of the wind, the teams all played well.

Soccer was played against Port Edward. The results were as follows: U11A boys lost 2-0, U11 A boys lost 3-0, U11 girls drew 1-1, U13A boys lost 3-2, U13B boys drew 2-2, U13 girls drew 0-0.
