A lot has been going on at Umdoni’s Alexandra Memorial Bowling Club (AMBC) recently.
Firstly, congratulations to Linda Mynhardt (women) and Bob Elliott (men) for winning gold in the KBA Veteran Singles competition last weekend. That’s two golds for AMBC!
Congratulations to Barrie Ainslie and Noelene Venter for winning the Nominated Mixed pairs. Runners-up were Keith and Beryl Findlay.
The Marriott Mixed 2-4-2 was played on August 13. The winners on 4 +13 were John and Estelle Collier. Runners-up on 4+8 were Bob and Louise Elliott, and the second session on 2+6 went to Linda Mynhardt and Barrie Ainslie.
The Hibiscus Insurance Brokers Mixed Trips was played on August 20. The winners on a count out of 4+13 were Ernest Chiole, John Cryer and Karen Chiole.
Runners-up on 4+13 were Cecil Smith, Myra Backeberg and Jean Thomassen. The second session on 2+10 went to Bob Elliott, Harry Klompas and Louise Elliott.
