Winners of the 3rd Avenue/The Meat Joint mixed fours were Don Russouw, Bez Bezuidenhout, Rienie Blignaut and Shirley Russouw.
Runners-up were Dumisani Madlala, Mari Strauss, Trudy Rush and Jing Wu Eltringham.
Session prize went to Jim Vaughn, Mike van de Merwe, Bubbles Bezuidenhout and Rodney Randall.
The Oribi Wimpy ladies’ competition was won by Desiree Krause and Gerda Clark.
Runners-up were Hedy Morom and Ermi Joubert. Session went to Mari Strauss and Kitty Cochman.
MARGATE
The men’s and ladies’ singles championships have drawn to a close.
These were played at the Village, with Margate BC members expressing appreciation to the Village members for the use of their greens.
Mark Kassner and Maureen Muller emerged as the champions, with runner-up spots going to Mike Prinsloo and Annette Symes.
The club also thanked Volkswagen for the prize donations.
VILLAGE
Winning the Spec-Savers open 2-4-2 on August 15 were Clive Cowan and Dave van As.
Runners-up were Peter Mundle and Mike Dunn. Third prize went to Anthony Card and Colin Gourlie.
First session winners were Corrie Pieters and Helen Pieters. Second session was won by Chris Allen and Mel Glover.
SOUTHBROOM
The JL Panelbeaters’ men’s fours on August 16 was won by Graham Fisher, Mike Lyall, Hein Bester and Vernon Clements.
Runners-up were Ross Ferguson, André Maulgue, Ron Weddell and Shane Nienaber.
In third place were Mervyn Barratt, Des Evans, Mike Dunn and Elliot Nqoko.
RIVERSIDE
The JL Panelbeaters competition was won by Jenny Bruce, Butch Bruce and Marilyn Francis.
Heartfelt gratitude was expressed to JL Panelbeaters for the continued support.
