Women doing incredible work at the Halfway Group were honoured at a prestigious awards ceremony at the Wild Coast Sun’s Tropical Nights Theatre last weekend.
These top achievers were recognised for their exceptional growth, success and positive results at the Halfway Group Women of the Year Awards ceremony.
The red carpet event saw a performance by South African music icon PJ Powers.
Debi Stewart, Charmaine Pillay, Chantel Cubitt, Bongeka Ndlovu, Beena Rampersad, Yashti Mohunlal, and many others bagged awards in various categories.
Halfway Group manager Lizette Smit said the evening was all about honouring each individual for their invaluable contribution, strength and resilience.
“It is said that girls with dreams become women with vision. May we continue to empower each other to carry out that vision. My heartfelt appreciation goes to George Baikie; your guidance has been instrumental in my journey.
The support and continuous encouragement to push boundaries and strive for excellence is unparalleled. To all the sponsors, heads of various divisions and the dealer principals within the Halfway Group – thank you for your generous contribution and support,” she said.
Smit also thanked everyone who supported the event. She said with this support, they can touch the lives of those affected by cancer.
She said the Halfway Women of Year event was also held to raise funds for South Coast Hospice.
“A quote that resonates with me by Henry Ford reads: ‘Coming together is the beginning, staying together is progress and working together is success’,” said Smit.
