High spirits at Creston

There has been a lot happening at the school lately.

High school learners at Creston College enjoyed topics covered by TruLife Productions, including substance abuse, healthy relationships and the dangers of social media, offering a thought-provoking look at peer pressure.

Several high school history learners went on a tour to the UK. For many, it was their first overseas trip. They explored Wales, Scotland and England, a truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience for many.

Congratulations to Wedu Khumalo and Zaiah Dennis, who received gold medals, and Luyanda Ngidi’s team, who finished fourth in playoffs at the inter-provincial hockey tournaments.

Imraan Khan received a silver medal, and Taiy’n Naicker finished fourth in a cricket tournament.

Well done to Sarah and Emir Sahli, who earned prestigious gold medals in karate at the Shotokan Karate International South Africa Kanazawa Cup 2024.

Kira Attfield proudly represented South Africa at the Freestyle Dance World Championships in Blackpool, UK and achieved an impressive top 31 world ranking in Freestyle and a top 33 world ranking in Slow Dance.

Congratulations to Caleb Jackson for making the SKZN U15 rugby team that competed in the annual Rhino Week rugby festival. The first team cricket squad participated in the Sportweni Cricket Festival and played Sutherland and Transvallies.
