SOUTHBROOM
A perfect ‘nine’ shots was scored by the Woodpeckers team of Ren Smuts, Nora Hill and Rhett Butler, all of Southbroom Bowling Club, on the very first end of round six of the Hibiscus Brokers Supertrips competition played at Riverside Bowling Club on June 27.
Achieving a bowling full house is almost the equivalent of a hole-in-one at golf.
The Supertrips competition involves a league of 36 teams who meet monthly on a strength-versus-strength basis; each team member plays six ends as lead, second and skip, moving after every skin.

Southbroom bowlers (from left) Ren Smuts, Nora Hill and Rhett Butler scored a perfect nine.
