#Elections2024: Make your mark

The mid-South Coast local also said that if she had the opportunity to call the shots, she would change all the 'dead wood' in all the provincial departments.

Pennington’s Laverne de Jager (39) is one of the many South Africans who believes voting is absolutely necessary in order for change to come about.

With the #Elections2024 fast approaching on May 29, De Jager said that she hopes South Africa will get some of the changes it needs and people see an improvement in infrastructure. Also, that the government puts focus on improving opportunities for small businesses in the hope that this will boost the economy and provide more employment opportunities.

“There is an opportunity in each and every region/municipality to drive real change using technology that can minimise cost, create transparency and offer solutions for most if not all the issues we have as a nation,” said De Jager.

“Collaboration, innovation and passion is needed to get the results we need to see the country not just survive, but thrive.”

The mid-South Coast local also said that if she had the opportunity to call the shots, she would change all the ‘dead wood’ in all the provincial departments.

“I’d definitely bring in new ideas, passionate people with a focus on improving productivity, inclusiveness and driving innovation and optimisation with the departments nationally. Be part of the change you’d like to see.”
