Masterclass for aspiring business owners

A panel of young entrepreneurs will form part of the masterclass.

The founder of Good to Glow Beauty and Cosmetics, Sinegugu Hlobisile Cele, will host a business masterclass at the Port Shepstone Library on Saturday, May 4, from 09:00.

Cele, who has bagged awards at the Bambelela Business Awards and The Next Billionaire Awards, said this is an opportunity for small business owners to network and learn from others in the same industry on the South Coast.

She said a panel of young entrepreneurs will form part of the masterclass, saying that topics to be covered include how to start a business, what to expect when you start a business, what pitfalls to avoid, what to do to improve your chances of creating a sustainable business, and more.

Cele said people who will benefit from the masterclass are aspiring entrepreneurs, those who have started businesses but want new and fresh strategies to improve, and those who want to network and meet other business owners in their local area.

“One of our guest speakers is a seasoned creative entrepreneur, Aphiwokuhle Moyo. She is a professional female photographer and the owner and founder of Behind the Lens Pty Ltd. Established in 2018, her company provides photography services and prints. Her work has been exhibited in different parts of the country. She was also nominated for the fourth annual Sebenza Women Awards,” she said.

Photographer Aphiwokuhle Moyo is one of the guest speakers.

Another speaker is Nomthandazo Sibiya, the founder of Optomly, an eyecare brand that offers personalised services.

Cele said Sibiya is also behind the Mentorship Corner, a YouTube channel that educates on planning, organising and living a wholesome life.

“She is an optometrist with over five years experience and has worked in three provinces. She has a passion for personalised eye care and loves to teach audiences how to live a more organised life. Her favourite quote is, ‘Everything is always working out for me’,” said Cele.

She added that other guest speakers include Sizwe Zulu, an artist in the design industry and Simphiwe Doyisa, who is a painter.
