Poet inks inspirational book

The book documents Rochelle Soodyall's journey through self-love and healing.

A former South Coaster, Rochelle Soodyall, who matriculated from Port Shepstone Secondary, now living in Johannesburg, has found inspiration in writing poetry.

Having mastered the genre, she recently launched her first book, ‘This is the first poem I wrote’, which was created with students in mind, but packed with glorious poems that will appeal to a wide audience.

“This book was everything that I needed. An event from four years ago deeply influenced my life, leaving a profound impact. It felt as though I had been navigating through life with blinders on and, suddenly, I saw the sun shining again – a genuine a-ha moment.”

She said the book documents her journey through self-love and healing. “I am genuinely fascinated by the lessons and experiences encountered on this adventure. I hope the readers discover as much inspiration in this book as I have,” said Rochelle.

This self-help book aims to guide readers on a path towards self-love and acceptance, encouraging them to rediscover their true selves by embracing unconditional self-love amidst life’s experiences.

Rochelle aims to launch her book in Port Shepstone soon.
