The time of marriage is also the time for Estate Planning. The Antenuptial Contract must be executed with a Notary Public before the marriage and should be viewed as Estate Planning. The Antenuptial Contract will deal with what happens to your assets at the dissolution of marriage (by death or divorce). Marriage is also an important time to consider your Wills. Assets which are excluded from the accrual: * assets excluded in the Antenuptial Contract; * inheritances, legacy and or donations; * and damages (i.e. disability payment received by a spouse).
