Helping matrics make the right choice

Rise Up Kasi Child recently visited Nani High School in KwaQwabe.

The transition from school to the next phase of life can be both exciting and daunting. After years of studying and preparing for exams, it is finally time to step into the real world.

To ease into this transition, non-profit, Rise Up Kasi Child visits high schools, especially matriculants.
The organisation visited Nani High School in KwaQwabe recently, along with personnel from Mehlomnyama police station, LifeLine social worker Sphindile Mpisane, education graduate Khulani Cele, Sbo and Sanele Driving School from Port Shepstone and Radio Sunny South presenter Zethembe Doyisa.

The founder of Rise Up Kasi Child, Mandisa Phakathwayo said each person had something to share, and the driving school promised to award four learners who pass with flying colours in the second term trials.

“Life after matric school tour is a new chapter filled with endless possibilities. By taking the time to visit high schools, we are ensuring that the matriculants make the right choice for their future,” she added.

If you would like Rise Up Kasi Child to visit your school, assist with sponsorship or for more information, contact Mandisa on 072 7576379.

Thokozani Mthimkhulu is the deputy principal at Nani High School.
