Schools gear up for final KO

Don’t miss out on all the volleyball action at Marburg Sports Complex this Saturday.

THE final schools’ volleyball knockout competition is set to take place at the Marburg Sports Complex this Saturday, August 16.

This will end the volleyball season for pupils. At the time of going to press, tournament entries have already closed with draws and fixtures already drawn up by the tournament organising committee. In view of this being a pre-entry event, no late entries will be entertained.

The tournament starts at 8am with primary schools and secondary schools at 10.30am.

In the primary schools’ section U12 and U14 divisions will be contested and in the secondary schools’ section, U16 and O16 divisions will be contested. With the entry fees for the tournament at R80 per team, schools are urged to settle entry fees before the tournament commences.

In the primary schools’ section, Marburg Primary, RA Engar, Hlanganani Preparatory, Jai Hind and Merlewood Primary are expected to battle for top honours.

Reigning champions, Port Shepstone Secondary are still basking in glory following their regular defeats of big guns Marburg Secondary in the last contest.

A tuck shop will be run by the voluntary charity organisation Bread of Heaven.
