Croc’s 123rd birthday celebrated
Henry, the Nile crocodile was honoured with a juicy piece of meat while party-goers enjoyed some free cupcakes.
In celebration of Henry, the Nile crocodile’s 123rd birthday, holidaymakers and Crocworld Conservation Centre regulars recently flocked to the Scottburgh-based centre.
According to the centre, Henry is the oldest known Nile crocodile in captivity.
On his big day, he was honoured with a juicy piece of meat while party-goers enjoyed some free cupcakes.
“Visitors also stopped in to check out the centre’s second-oldest and second-biggest Nile crocodile, Colgate, who at 90-odd years is an impressive specimen himself. Crocworld’s holiday programme which includes daily feedings and demonstrations, will continue until January 17,” said the centre.
