Braai time for meat winner Poen

The club welcomes visitors to the course this holiday.

The Club Meat competition at Margate Country Club last Thursday was won by Poen Olivier on 36 points.
Joe Espach was the runner-up on 35 points.

Two-clubs were carded by Carel Olivier (8th) and Derek Egerton (16th). Colin Penney was nearest the pin on the 11th but the putt stayed out.

The Three Jacks and a Jill (with some variations) competition proved to be a lot of fun and was won by Dawn Howden, Kim Howden and Robin Shuttleworth on 90 points.

Three off the pace were Sandi Johnston, Shannon Gottlieb, Charl Walkinshaw and Llewellin Walkinshaw on 87 points.

Nearest the pins were Johan Meyer (8th) and Dawn Howden (11th) and Reeze du Toit (12th for two).
Longest drives were hit by Sandi Johnston (10th) and Charl Walkinshaw (15th).

The 100-Club last Tuesday was won by Angus McLachlan on 36 points, counting out Johann Erasmus and Eddy Roux.
Robin Shuttleworth and Charl Olivier had two-clubs, on the 8th and 2nd holes, respectively.
